Without knowing it, you might be stuck in a perpetual loop of unhelpful beliefs, but are keeping them alive even though you think you are doing the opposite to change them. In this episode I discuss this perpetual loop and teach you how to shift out of it for good and into a new paradigm that is WAY BETTER than before!

Hi, welcome to this week's episode of the Radiant Soul podcast. And today I want to talk
about our beliefs, the duality and what we perpetuate. And even when we think we're trying to change it, right? So this is all about vibrational frequency and about law of attraction. But it's about going into the nuances of it so that we can really begin to unpick and understand why we're not seeing the results that we want necessarily in our life.
And so what I mean by this is, for instance, if you have a belief about yourself, And then you spend your whole time trying to change that or change the situation or make it better or be different. Like in the process of doing that, what you're actually doing is keeping the problem alive because it's like two sides of the same coin.
If you want perfect health and wellbeing and to feel vibrant and energized in your body. And you currently have illness or you don't feel amazing or you feel like you're lacking in energy. But you're constantly trying to change that. You're constantly trying to sort of heal yourself, make yourself better, feel better. I'm constantly trying to do the opposite. What you're actually doing is kind of creating this loop, this reality, where the universe thinks that you don't actually necessarily want the end result, which is wellbeing.
The universe hear's you constantly saying I've got to heal myself. I need to feel better. I want to get better. so it's constantly giving you this feedback loop of needing to heal yourself, wanting to feel better, not feeling great so that you can change that paradigm. And this can show up in really deep seated beliefs about ourselves. You know, one of mine was I had when I dug really, really, really, really, really deep, my deepest belief was I shouldn't exist. Right. And yet I'd spent my life trying to prove I was worthy of something, trying to prove I should exist. Trying to prove that there was something of value that I was giving.
And every time I did that, every time I tried to change this, this in a subconscious belief that I held, you know, every time I tried to prove myself, tried to prove that I was valuable, tried to prove I was worthy. Try to prove that I should be here. I was perpetuating that cycle. I was perpetuating this belief that I shouldn't be here.
And so the, the universe was working with, say hello to my cat. She's just, hi. Hi, sweetie. Oh, yeah. So the universe is basically thinking, oh, well she just wants this cycle, this continuous cycle, and If you didn't believe that, like, if your baseline was you just didn't believe that you had that belief, that you needed to exist or whatever, like you wouldn't even think about it. Your existence wouldn't even come into question. And that's what I mean. So it can be the same, with more surface level beliefs.
For instance, you constantly wanting to lose weight, constantly wanting to, to go on a diet, constantly wanting to exercise, cause I need to lose weight. You know, you're not actually creating the end result, which is like, oh my God. You know, I'm just thin, I don't even think about it. Like you don't.
You're creating this loop where you put on weight and need to lose it, put on weight, need to lose it, you know, knowing you lose it, then. You still have this circle, so you end up putting back on and needing to lose it. And so it goes round and round in circles.
And just like my needing to prove I exist. You know, proving unworthy, proving I'm worthy and feeling like shit and, and feeling unworthy and feeling like I shouldn't exist or that no one wants me and this continuous cycle.
And. It's really nuanced. You have to be really honest with yourself and you have to dig really deep because when you find that belief and who is the sort of person that believes this. What is this person believing to behave like this?
If you can view yourself from an outside point of view and be aware of how you're behaving and then start questioning, well, why am I behaving like that? Who would behave like that? What are the beliefs that someone who behaves like that believes about themselves. And when you find those key identity beliefs. It's like, well, what. You know, what would it actually be like if I didn't ever think that? If I didn't ever question this belief? If I didn't ever even contemplate it? If I never had that belief? What would my life look like? Who would I be? How would I show up?
And one of the first things that came up for me was just complete freedom. It was like, oh my God, I just wouldn't even think twice about being me, I would just be me wherever I was and wouldn't even think about it. I would never even question my worth. And when you start digging really deep with this, you know, this is when you have life changing experiences.
This is when you can really dig into who you think you are based on these beliefs? That aren't true. That you don't need to carry. You really can just stop believing them.
And the person that stops believing in them, doesn't keep doing all the actions to change them. the person who just knows that they're healthy and vibrant and well. Just is vibrant, healthy, well, they didn't even think that. They'll eat food that feels intuitively right. They'll move their body when they intuitively want, they won't even necessarily be conscious or thinking of their actions. And their actions will be guided, you know, because they just probably believe that they're healthy and well. That their actions are always guided intuitively and in the best interest of that, right. They're not trying to prove anything, they're not trying to prove themselves well, when they're not, they're not trying to prove themselves thin when they're not. They're not trying to, to change this existence or prove their worth when, when they feel that they're not worthy. And it's all perceptions, right? Because. Like our thoughts create our reality. It's I guess quantum physics has been proved, blah, blah, blah. I don't need to tell you any of this. It's out there now. It's in the mainstream. Our thoughts create our realities.
And so what are those thoughts and how can we really dig deep to find those nuances and find those places where we are perpetuating a cycle. You know, one of my things was like not believing my own voice or trusting my own intuition and my own things. So always asking people for questions, you know, always questioning people like, what do you think? What do you think? And someone was self-assured, they wouldn't even think that they wouldnt question anything. They would just go about their day and make decisions and not even question whether they're right or wrong.
And, you can really start changing who you are and how you show up with this because these beliefs become our identities. And we think that that's what we are. We think that that's what needs fixing. And actually what needs fixing is, is the awareness of the belief and then the complete dropping of it, you know? And who, who would you be if you didn't have these beliefs? Who would you be?
If you never worried about your health or your bank account, like how would you show up? And it's then the doing of that, and in the being of that person, that you become that person. And then your life and reality shift to match that. Right. We have a cat attack. This is misfits, but she never goes properly in the camera. You just see her tail, like a little shark circling me.
So the invitation is to really. You know, tenderly and gently, always lovingly, always compassionately, always, you know, like never, never go into self-inquiry with anything other than those qualities. Right. Because if you're going to go into self-inquiry and be a bitch to yourself, then you're not welcome. Like get out.
Self-inquiry is a delicate, tender process. It's a vulnerable process. So be kind with yourself. You wouldn't just expect someone to reveal their vulnerabilities and then punch them in the face for it. You know, likes to don't do that to yourself. So go into this self-inquiry with tenderness, with gentleness.
Look at your behaviors. What you believe in the world about yourself? Like, what is that identity? Look at yourself from an external point of view, who would show up like this, who. What kind of things would someone who thinks this. And behaves like this believe about themselves. And then you start digging deeper and then you become aware of, well for me, the deepest belief was I shouldn't exist.
And so when you find those really deep beliefs and then you just learn to drop them. What would I look like without this belief? What would my life look like? How would I show up? If I didn't. Ever have this belief and when you really feed into this, it's complete freedom.
For me it's felt like freedom every time. Because these are constricting, these stories that we kind of, you know, identify ourselves by and show up in the world by.
They constrict us. They constrict our truth. They constrict who we are and when we don't have those, then. You kind of just free to be you, right? You don't have to suddently think about every morsel of food you put in your mouth
Every little sniffle of the nose, I've got a bit of, you know, my nose is stuffy today. Doesn't mean I'm ill.. Like, I 've just got a stuffy nose today that could be anything. Could be just Allergy to dust. It could just be the change in weather, like just could be my nose is inflamed.
It's not like I'm thinking, oh my God, I'm going to be ill. Oh my God. I've got a cold coming on.
But that isn't something that I worry about. Wellbeing is not something that I worry about. So I'm not looking constantly for am I well today? Where have I got pain ?Is my hip hurting. Is this hurting? Like, no, not, I don't think like that. So it's not really in my reality.
Do I get pains and illnesses? Yeah, of course, but it sort of bushes past me and I get over it pretty quickly and I move on, right. Because it's not part of my identity. But When you are perpetually cycling around this, you know, I must heal myself. I must heal myself. I've got to go to the, you know, this person, that person, you know, whatever the practitioner is, or I need to take these herbs, these herbs and these herbs, you're perpetuating a cycle.
You're you're playing with two sides of the coin and you're kind of stuck in this endless loop, , like I'm trying to prove myself worrth. I'm trying to prove that I have a right to be here -and then I feel like rubbish and I feel, you know, and the universe gives you the opposite, right? So that you can keep doing the healing so you can keep going back. And it's a perpetual cycle and only you can break free of it, but it takes tenderness.
It takes vulnerability. It takes honesty. And then it takes practice. Like you'll slip back into those old ways. You're split back into the old patterns easily. But it becomes. Practice. And when you've done it once, and then you've done it twice and you, you really start to recognize that sense of freedom, that new paradigm, the old one kind of feels off and you start realizing, well, hang on a minute.
It's like putting on the wrong size shoes and walking around in them. That just don't fit anymore. It doesn't fit. It feels weird. And then it's very quick, you know, then you can start snapping out of it. And it's a process, all of these things, all of these tools I teach you, they're practices.
They called practice is for a reason. We practice them because we are beautiful and human and sometimes forget how to show up as a beautiful spirit, full God Selves. Right. Because. That's the game. That's why we came
You know, isn't it wonderful. We came here to forget our magnificent so we could relearn it. We're like. It's a wonderful game. So we get to play that. And this is one of the ways that we get to self inquire and really see where we are perpetuating a paradigm that isn't necessarily useful or serving us anymore.
So thank you for listening. I hope you've enjoyed it. I don't know if you can hear my cat purring on my lap, but she's keeping me nice and warm.
I'm sending you lots of love and wishing you a wonderful week. Bye-bye.
